Experiencing a sexual assault can be traumatic, especially if you are a student. Your university and union should have support available to you, however if you have not found their support helpful, the following links and contact information are a non-exhaustive list of support available to you. This includes sexual health services, guidance on reporting the event and places or helplines to receive emotional support.

Rape Crisis offers female support after sexual violence. The website can direct you to your closest crisis centre, offers self help and online emotional support.

SurvivorsUK supports males after sexual abuse, and also offers help to their friends and family. They offer individual counselling and a helpline service.

Women’s Aid is an organisation for women and children experiencing domestic abuse.

Reporting
Reporting your sexual assault is very brave and the police encourage you to do so. These links offer you information on how to report and what you can expect when reporting.
